We understand life happens. Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance at no penalty. For online sessions, recordings are available so your child can still review the material covered. Our team will work with you to find a solution that works.

Every Friday, you'll receive a detailed report covering: what was covered that week, how your child performed, any areas of concern, and what's planned for the following week. Reports also include progress against the learning roadmap milestones so you can see the bigger picture.

Our rate is a simple, transparent R300 per hour. That's an all-inclusive price covering the tutoring session, your child's learning roadmap, weekly progress reports, and our matching and support services. No hidden fees whatsoever.

No. The R300/hr rate covers everything — the session, progress reporting, learning roadmap creation, and platform access. The only additional cost would be if you chose to purchase physical study materials, but that's entirely optional and at your discretion.

We accept all major South African bank transfers (EFT), credit cards, and debit cards. Payments are processed securely through our platform and invoices are provided for every session for your records or tax purposes.

Every applicant undergoes a rigorous 4-step vetting process: academic verification of credentials, a live teaching assessment to evaluate pedagogical skill, comprehensive background checks (including CIE clearance), and character referencing with academic supervisors. We also conduct ongoing quarterly performance audits after certification.

Yes — without exception. Every Scholr tutor undergoes a comprehensive criminal information enquiry (CIE) before being approved. This is a non-negotiable part of our vetting protocol and a cornerstone of the trust parents place in our platform.

Your child's comfort and progress come first — always. If the match isn't right for any reason, simply let us know and we'll find a replacement tutor at no extra charge. The learning roadmap transfers seamlessly, so there's zero lost progress or disruption.
